2026 Board of Directors
President: Daniel Santoleri
Daniel served as President-Elect in 2025 and brings over nine years of experience in the insurance industry. He currently works as an Account Executive at The Safegard Group in Media, PA. Daniel earned his CPCU designation in 2020 and recently completed his Master’s degree in Insurance Management from Boston University.
Immediate Past President: Clinton Smith
Clinton served as President in 2025. He is looking forward to growing the Chapter in 2026 and providing members with additional networking and educational opportunities. He presently works as an Account Executive with NSM Insurance Brokers, overseeing a team dedicated to behavioral healthcare practice.
President-Elect: Steve O’Connor
Steve earned the ARe designation in 2021 and completed his CPCU 2025. Steve firmly believes that insurance is a “people business” and values the importance of thriving industry institutions, such as local CPCU Chapters. He was excited to earn his CPCU in 2025, contribute to the success of the Philadelphia Chapter, and continue fostering strong industry relationships. Steve is a Senior Client Manager at Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), a technology-driven company built on a foundation of specialty insurance and engineering expertise, and is part of the Munich Re family of companies. Steve joined HSB in 2025 after nearly 12 years at FM Boiler Re (formerly Mutual Boiler Re) where he worked in both claims and client‑facing sales roles.
Vice President: Tyler Skelly
Tyler joined the board in 2023 as an experienced underwriter working with Public Entities. Tyler is an Alum of Temple University and currently holds the position of Vice President at Chubb Insurance. In addition to her work with the Philadelphia CPCU Chapter Tyler has participated on the In2Risk planning Committee.
Treasurer: Stephen Hicks
Steve is our current treasurer and has been an active chapter member and leader since achieving his CPCU in 2018. He is dedicated to continuing to support the vital role he plays helping to manage our chapter finances. Steve currently works as the Vice President of Underwriting for Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company.
Secretary: Brian Fritz
Brian has been instrumental in shaping the chapter with communications and organizing events since 2022. He is excited to serve as Secretary in 2025 and be our Lead Communication Chair. Brian is a Temple University graduate and is passionate about our industry and giving back. He works at Key Strategies in Philadelphia and is a Recruiter.
Director: Frank Bruzzese
Frank is a current board director and joined our Leadership Team in 2020. He has been involved with the Philadelphia Chapter since obtaining his designation in 2008, regularly attending chapter meetings, events, and Philly I-Day. Frank has worked continuously in the safety profession for a number of years, joining Zenith Insurance Co. in 2001 as a Senior Safety and Health Consultant, and has since been promoted to positions of increased responsibility.
Director: Patrick Brogan
Patrick has been with Philadelphia Insurance Companies for 10 years, beginning his career with the company shortly after graduating college. He earned a B.S. in Marketing from Susquehanna University, followed by an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University. Additionally, he holds the CPCU and CIC designations. Over the years, Patrick has advanced in his role with the company and now serves as the Assistant Vice President of Marketing within the Mid-Atlantic Region.
In addition to his professional work, Patrick has served on multiple Boards for SERV Behavioral Health, where he also helped establish and develop the organization’s Young Professionals group.
Director: Paul Griffing
Paul is a Past President of the Philadelphia CPCU Society Chapter and recipient of the Judy Vaugh award. He has been involved with the chapter for over a decade. Paul is a Client Executive at RCM&D Insurance Brokers. Paul also works with St Joseph’s University as an Adjunct Professor.
Director: Sydney Stenson
Sydney Stenson CPCU, AIDA is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she obtained her degree in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance. Sydney is an Underwriter with Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance where she is passionate about protecting the wood niche. She’s been a member of the CPCU Philadelphia chapter since moving to Philly in 2020 and she obtained her CPCU in 2023.
Director: Matt McGarrigle
Matt is a recent graduate of Saint Joseph’s University, where he earned a degree in Risk Management & Insurance and Finance. He currently serves as a Public Entity Underwriting Trainee at Munich Re as part of the firm’s two-year International Graduate Trainee Program. Matt has earned his AIDA designation and is actively pursuing his CPCU. He is passionate about professional development and supporting early-career professionals entering the insurance industry.
